Pittsburgh Steelers first-round draft pick, cornerback Artie Burns, has a well documented unfortunate family history. One that saw him lose his mother at an early age and his father sent to prison.
On Saturday, ABC aired an interview with the Steelers young rookie on the show People’s list, where Burns and his family opened up a little more about the events that ultimately led to him adopting his younger siblings.
For those who missed this short segment we have included the entire broadcast below, as posted to the program’s Facebook page.
With a new career ahead of him in the NFL, Burns will be relocating his family to Pittsburgh as soon as he can find a suitable home, a purchase he is currently looking to make. As we reported recently. Burns already has bought the appropriate family vehicle he needs.
It is impossible to ignore how mature Burns appears for such a young man, clearly shaped by his childhood experiences. With the financial means to take care of his growing family, hopeful they can put some of their troubles behind them as they adjust to a new life in Pittsburgh.
